PRINCIPALS OF FAITH

We uphold the Thirteen Principles of Jewish Faith as follows:

  1. We believe with perfect faith that G-d is the Creator and Ruler of all things. He alone has made, does make, and will make all things.

  2. We believe with perfect faith that G-d is One. There is no unity that is in any way like His. He alone is our G-d He was, He is, and He will be.

  3. We believe with perfect faith that G-d does not have a body. Physical concepts do not apply to Him. There is nothing whatsoever that resembles Him at all.

  4. We believe with perfect faith that G-d is first and last.

  5. We believe with perfect faith that it is only proper to pray to G-d. One may not pray to anyone or anything else.

  6. We believe with perfect faith that all the words of the prophets are true.

  7. We believe with perfect faith that the prophecy of Moses is absolutely true. He was the chief of all prophets, both before and after Him.

  8. We believe with perfect faith that the entire Torah that we now have is that which was given to Moses.

  9. We believe with perfect faith that this Torah will not be changed, and that there will never be another given by G-d.

  10. We believe with perfect faith that G-d knows all of man's deeds and thoughts. It is thus written (Psalm 33:15), "He has molded every heart together, He understands what each one does."

  11. We believe with perfect faith that G-d rewards those who keep His commandments, and punishes those who transgress Him.

  12. We believe with perfect faith in the coming of the Messiah. How long it takes, I will await His coming every day.

  13. We believe with perfect faith that the dead will be brought back to life when G-d wills it to happen.

OUR RELATIONSHIP TO HALACHAH

Our Synagogue recognizes Halachah and all the traditions of the Jewish people as instructive and normative to Jewish life. It is our opinion that the life, teaching and practice of the Jew, Yeshua, affirmed Orthodox Torah observance and a valid expression of the "Judaisms" of that period. We  acknowledge the Hallachot of Yeshua as binding on our conscience, and part of our Hallachic grid. We only embrace the Hebrew Scriptures as authentic text, and acknowledge the Christian writings (NT) as a record of the developments of that period, but do not regard it as Jewish Scripture.

JUDAISM vs. THE MESSIANIC MOVEMENT and CHRISTIAN FAITH

True to Orthodox Jewish understanding, we await the coming of Messiah, a prophet like Moses called from among the people Israel. We reject the Christian doctrine of a G-d incarnated human, or god-man. We recognize those beliefs to be contrary to Torah. We acknowledge the Jew Yeshua, as the promised Messiah of Israel, sent and resurrected by G-d, and Messiah (similar to Chabad Lubavitch,) will be returned by G-d in the fullness of time for the Guelah (Final Redemption). We embrace this truth as articulated by the first century Jewish community without any reservations.

Therefore we must not be confused with the Messianic Movement, Jewish Missions and the various para- church organizations.

THE MESSIAH

• that Messiah must be human and will not be a god-incarnated man.

• that he must return Jews to Torah practice.

• that the Messiah will herald in the re-building of the third Temple.

• that his return will bring about the return of all Jews to Eretz Yisrael, the land of Israel.

• that the Messiah will bring about the Geulah or Final Redemption.

• that the Messiah has to be an extraordinary human being brought forth through divine intervention.

• that G-d have bestowed all power to the Messiah, the ruling Son of Man as described by Daniel in the Tanach (Hebrew Scriptures).

WORLD REDEMPTION

We believe that through this Jew, Yeshua, G-d extended His redemption to the gentile nations and have brought them to acknowledge HaShem as the only G-d,  the G-d of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and the G-d of Yeshua.
